Cheri,

Yes those in darkness continue to hurt others and we learn so much about ourselves when we see it. One wonders where is the shame, where is the ability to bring sorrow upon others?

I say to myself, "Let no one or no circumstance take me off of my spiritual path."

I'm still working on another fairy tale!

MJ,

My heart soared with delight while reading this. I am weary of waiting for Sage Dragon to instill conscience in those that need it. My favorite (hopeful) line:

"But let me quickly mention, her kids’ faces going pale, because old man lacked conscience and slipped that day away from jail."

I would love to forward it to some, but I am certain they would never understand the meaning. They live in such darkness.

Keep those fairy tales coming!

Well, Kathleen,

What a delightful thing to read. You were such a force in the 7th grade. I had never known a teacher who got her class to be so great at everything. The idea of having 65 students is really unbelievable when one wraps the mind around it. How did you ever do it? As you know, 7th grade was a hard year for my family. It was the year my father died and no one supported our family more than the Sisters of Mercy.

I loved having you as my teacher at St. John's which, by the way, I heard just today has combined its parish with Holy Savior in Westmont to make a new school, "Blessed Teresa of Calcutta."

Mary Jane,
I knew Sr. Cora well. We entered together but she was better and smarter than I, I guess. I always prefered middle school students. What your readers need to know is that you were a delightful young girl and that you were a perfect example of why teaching could be such a joy. In a class of 65 seventh graders, you stood out. You did so well at everything that was asked of you.

Knowing of your success, I feel so proud of you and so happy that I know you now as an adult. God bless.

Dear Cheri, Dear Rombauer Chardonnay,

A blue ribbon from you and I'm in heaven.

My husband's response from the anima (feminine) probably a hint of the 40's female psyche and mine from the animus (masculine) and the 40's also though never because Jack is a favored name but because I can spit out nails with the best of them.

A good friend and colleague of mine used to hear some of my dreams and she would laugh and tell me, "MJ, I don't ever want to wrestle with that animus of yours." But interestingly, she has a very strong animus herself and we met in Switzerland on a study program at the Jung Institute where both of our masculine psyches got to explore the depths.

Oh yes! This post has a blue ribbon pinned to the right corner.

Especially "where the pan gets sticky"!

I too (shock) love those silly childhood games and still play them, when bored.

Your husband's response surprised me. The Animus? And yours--Jack Old Fashion-- The Anima?

As for me...back to my cold Rombauer Chardonnay.

And Judge Blah? Vodka Tonic (must be tonic out of a bottle, not a gun) with Absolute. Not surprising an old judge wants absolute. I, myself, will go with Grey Goose.

Well, Penny, I'm delighted to hear what you would name yourself. I would name myself Jack Old Fashion.

But that could change depending upon the season of my life.
